Position Overview
Shinnova is seeking seasoned and highly driven In-Home Sales Professionals to join our St. Louis team. This is a commission-only opportunity with six-figure earning potential for proven closers who thrive in a performance-driven environment. While the majority of qualified leads will be provided, representatives are expected to generate at least one self-sourced lead per month to demonstrate initiative and market engagement.
The ideal candidate is an experienced sales professional with a strong record of consultative selling, educating homeowners, and consistently closing deals in home improvement or residential solar. Typical work hours are Monday–Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., subject to change based on homeowner appointment availability.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-home sales presentations showcasing Shinnova’s windows, siding, roofing, exterior doors, and solar solutions.
- Build trust quickly and tailor solutions to each homeowner’s needs and budget.
- Manage the full sales cycle: lead follow-up, consultation, proposal, and closing.
- Present product features, financing options, warranties, and installation steps clearly and confidently.
- Achieve or exceed monthly sales goals using provided leads, while generating at least one self-sourced lead per month.
- Maintain detailed records of all sales activity and customer interactions in the CRM.
- Stay current on product knowledge, market trends, and competitive offerings.
- Represent Shinnova with professionalism, integrity, and a customer-focused approach.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of successful sales experience; in-home, solar, or home improvement experience preferred.
- Consistent track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Strong closing ability and skill navigating complex buying decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong rapport-building ability.
- Highly self-motivated, resilient, and comfortable in a commission-only environment.
- Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple leads.
- Availability for evenings and weekends as required by customer appointments.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel within the St. Louis market.

On-Target Earnings (OTE) Roadmap
While earnings vary based on performance, activity, and skill, most committed representatives who follow Shinnova’s process achieve the following:
- Year 1 OTE: $85,000–$125,000
- Year 2 OTE: $150,000–$180,000
- Year 3 OTE: $180,000–$220,000
- Year 4 OTE: $220,000–$250,000
- Year 5 OTE: $250,000–$300,000+
Experienced closers and strong solar performers often exceed these ranges.
