What You’ll Do:

  • Operate excavators, loaders, backhoes, compactors, and other heavy equipment with expertise and care
  • Perform precise site preparation and grading for residential and small commercial projects
  • Conduct septic and sewer system installations from start to finish
  • Transport equipment and materials using company dump trucks (CDL required)
  • Read and interpret grade stakes, laser levels, and blueprints to maintain accuracy
  • Work as part of a collaborative crew, stepping in with manual labor or pipe laying as needed
  • Ensure a clean, safe job site with a strong safety-first mindset

What You Bring:

  • 5–10 years of proven experience in excavation for residential and light commercial sites
  • Expertise in septic/sewer installation and general earthwork
  • Valid Class A CDL and clean driving record
  • Comfort using site prep tools, grade lasers, and interpreting technical drawings
  • A proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and desire to work with a dependable team

The ideal candidate will have a Class A CDL and a background in operating various heavy equipment, such as excavators, loaders, backhoes, skid steers, rollers, and compaction equipment. Candidates with experience in commercial and residential site preparation, grading, or septic system installation are strongly preferred.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Operate heavy machinery safely and efficiently, including excavators, loaders, skid steers, and more, for site prep and grading tasks.
  • Utilize dump trucks to haul materials and transport equipment as needed.
  • Load, secure (bind), and unload construction equipment during transportation.
  • Accurately use laser levels to check and maintain proper grades on-site.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints to ensure project specifications are met.
  • Assist with manual labor tasks, including pipe laying and grading when required.

Qualifications:

  • Class A CDL is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of heavy equipment operation experience.
  • Experience in commercial and residential site prep, grading, or septic system installation is preferred.
  • Ability to use laser levels and accurately check grades.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.

Pre-employment Requirements:

  • Drug testing.
  • Driver’s background check.

Salary Range:

  •  $25 to $30 per hour
