As our operations continue to expand, we are seeking a qualified A&P Mechanic who is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and passionate about aircraft maintenance.
Position Overview
The A&P Mechanic will be responsible for performing aircraft maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs in accordance with FAA regulations and company standards. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced aviation environment while maintaining the highest levels of safety and compliance.
This position will also participate in an on-call rotation, requiring the ability to respond to maintenance needs when scheduled. Candidates must be able to report to the Eugene Airport within 45 minutes when on-call.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance, inspections, and repairs in accordance with FAA regulations.
- Conduct airframe and powerplant maintenance to ensure aircraft safety, reliability, and operational readiness.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and implement effective repair solutions.
- Inspect aircraft components and systems for wear, damage, or malfunction.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation in compliance with FAA standards.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and aviation best practices.
- Assist with preventative maintenance programs to maintain aircraft performance and compliance.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of maintenance tasks.
- Support troubleshooting and corrective maintenance activities as required.
- Respond to after-hours maintenance needs while on-call, ensuring timely support for operational aircraft.
Qualifications
- Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Certification – REQUIRED
- Must be registered with the FAA
- Minimum of 1+ year of experience in aircraft maintenance as an A&P Mechanic
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Ability to pass a DOT drug test
- Must successfully pass a background check and fingerprint screening
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and be available within 45 minutes of the Eugene Airport when on-call
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and maintenance documentation
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical problem-solving skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is performed primarily in aircraft hangars and maintenance facilities.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work around aircraft equipment for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced aviation maintenance environment.
- Ability to safely handle tools, equipment, and aircraft components.
